Get to Know the Owner of Our Mobile Petting Zoo
Tawni Angel, founder, and operator of Tawni's Ponies and Petting Farm, Inc. and Animal-World Petting Zoo, has dedicated her life to horses, animals, and children. She began her journey as a competitor in the hunter/jumper circuit and soon became a certified riding instructor, teaching English and Western riding lessons and training horses on the weekends, all while working full time in a preschool learning center during the week. Her inspiration came when she fully learned about "hard work, determination and the true meaning of "life on the ranch" when she took a job at the famous Tejon Ranch - Sweet Iron Quarter Horses, a working cattle ranch that specialized in cutting and reining quarter horses.
In 2003, one of her biggest goals was realized when she and her husband purchased a pony ride company and founded "Tawni's Ponies & Petting Farm, Inc." By 2008, they were serving all of Southern California, supplying animals to 250 events a year, had purchased another local company, Animal World Petting Zoo, and joyfully celebrated the birth of their daughter.
Today, Tawni, now a proud parent of two, continues to focus her energy on providing clean, gentle, safe, and friendly animals while teaching children about the care and work involved with ponies, goats, sheep, ducks, chickens, rabbits, pigs, mini's, donkey's, horses and cows. Like so many other local business owners, the added challenge is keeping up with rising costs while keeping prices down.
